Community Specialty Pharmacy Network (CSPN) Selects
National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) as an Education Partner

August 8, 2007 -Philadelphia, PA - Community Specialty Pharmacy Network (CSPN) announced today a formal partnership with National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA). Ed Dillon, President of CSPN commented, “We are very pleased with the board’s decision to partner with NCPA to establish a new accrediting agency for specialty pharmacy. Our goal is to provide the best optimal, cost effective patient care that will have a positive impact on our patient’s lives. CSPN and NCPA also share a common goal, which is to drive the specialty prescriptions back into the independent pharmacy. A “specialty patient” should be defined by the level of care they receive as measured by compliance, adherence, and proven data outcomes no matter who provides the service: Retail, LTC, or Mail Order. This is a significant milestone for both companies. CSPN will offer its members new opportunities with this education offering and NCPA will have immediate access to a community based specialty pharmacy network. Trushar Sheth, CSPN's Director of Educational programs added, "We believe that this effort, while initially focused on Specialty Pharmacy, will demonstrate the ability of Independent Community Pharmacists, when properly equipped, to provide a superior level of care second to none in the industry”.
