Clinical Services and Disease Management

CSPN offers clinical services focused on providing optimal care by providing face to face contact with a pharmacist trained in disease state management. Our pharmacists also provide cost containment strategies as well as outcome data for plan sponsors, manufacturers and physicians. Each particular disease state is evaluated and the appropriate clinical services are provided for that particular disease state. This may include dispensing services, monitoring of blood levels and other patient compliance issues. This ability to scale our services based on disease state enables plan sponsors to provide their members the appropriate level of support in order to maximize their therapy and at the same time control the costs associated with specialty medications.

CSPN pharmacies help patients with formulary management, Drug Utilization Reviews, prior authorizations, quantity limits, and ways to limit waste.

CSPN Specialty Drug Therapy Management can include:

  • Drug Utilization Review (DUR)
  • Assistance with prior authorizations and medical necessity
  • Formulary control
  • Data collection
  • Refill reminders
  • Monitoring for potential Drug and OTC Medication interactions
  • Therapy and dosage adjustments when required
  • Outcome monitoring and reporting
